Hi there! My name is Nathaniel Shapiro.

I’m the guy in the picture.

I'm the owner and founder of Durham Fitness & Wellness LLC, a one-on-one personal training offered at 605 W Main St, Durham NC 27701.

I specialize in helping people like you get maximum enjoyment, fulfillment, and satisfaction from your life by fitting you with a workout program that meets you where you’re currently catering to your time.

I've been training people in and around Durham for over 10 years. In that time I've worked with an array of individuals catering their fitness journey and dietary strategies to complement their life. Whether that be weight loss, fat loss, developing lean muscle mass, or just learning how to apply the basic concepts for progressing in the gym I’ve got you covered.

My goal has always been to help and support my clients to see their ever expanding potential and organize a plan of action to achieve it.

  • During this meeting, you can learn more about me and my approach and I can learn a bit about what you envision for yourself. Together we can begin to strategize how to close the gap between where you are now and where you’d like to land.

  • Once I get to know my clients and their goals, I’ll get to know their basic capabilities. In this phase, you’ll perform stretches, exercises, and other screening assessment movements.

    Clients may not be able to do every action in this step. That’s the point; this step is where I find my clients’ starting lines.

  • Before we get on to your programming, we will focused on mastering the basics of exercises that pack a lot of bang for your buck. During this time you will gradually get used to increasing the intensity.

  • I like to schedule nutrition/wellbeing on a regular basis, whether that be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on wishes and comfort level.
